HELLO

Welcome to our website! We are so glad you decided to check out our beliefs and our staff! If you have some more questions about Cornerstone, click the connection card button below and we’ll reach out to you!

 WHAT TO EXPECT

We know that the first time you visit somewhere new can be nerve wracking! We wanted to take some time to let you know what it's like attending one of our services!

BEFORE SERVICE

There is a lot that happens before 10AM, so we suggest you come at 9:45. With that extra time, you'll be able to meet our pastors and your children (3yo-5th grade) will be able to check into Kids Church! We will also show you around the church to show you the restrooms, as well as the kid's area.

DURING SERVICE

We start service at 10 with praise and worship! Our worship sets are a mix of upbeat contemporary and sometimes we'll sing some hymns or some 90s & 00s classics. You can expect this part of the service to be around 30 minutes!

After worship we will have a pastor greet everyone and give you the opportunity to fill out an online connection card. This allows us to collect some information so we can pray for a prayer request you may have. It is also a way to connect with you for a follow up after the service!

After talking about the connection card, one of our pastors will collect and pray over our tithes and offerings. This part of the service is where our members give financially as God has called us to give. Please do not feel pressured to. Immediately after the prayer, we introduce our weekly video announcements. This is one of the ways our congregation stays up to date on the events happening at Cornerstone and in the community! Following the video announcements is a "two minute mingle" This is where we invite the church to stand up and say hello to their friends and family. This whole section will last around 8 minutes.

After video announcements, we will have our message. Most likely, you'll hear from our Senior Pastor, Matt Mitchell! The sermon can last from 30 minutes to 45 minutes, depending on the topic and ministry that will happen. That means our services usually end around 11:30!

AFTER SERVICE

You're sure to have a great time of fellowship! Many people greet one another & check on their friends to see how their week has gone. We have a saying here, "We Are Family" - and it's not just one of those catchy phrases - we mean it! So don't be surprised if you get greeted by one, or several of our members. We are family and want you to feel welcomed and loved!

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What Should I Wear?

Dress Code - We don't have one! If you feel comfortable in a suit, that's great! If you're more of a teeshirt and jeans type, that's great too! We don't focus on the clothes here, we're focusing on Him!

Is there Childcare?

Cornerstone Kids - This is our program for children 3 years old through 5th grade! The children will be checked in the fellowship hall before the service begins. You will be asked some questions regarding your child's name, age, and allergies. Once the information is entered, a name tag (with the child's name & parent's phone number) and matching security code will be printed. After you check in your students, upon request, we can escort you back to where the children will be for their service! We know this brings comfort to parents as well as the children. When the service ends, the parents will report back to the check-in desk with their security tag! If at any time you need to speak to your child, head back to the Welcome Center and talk to the member stationed there.

Your children will enjoy a service quite similar to what you'll be experiencing! They will have worship, a lesson, and a game! Cornerstone Kids strives to provide a service that not only communicates the love of Jesus, but has fun while doing it! Our goal is for church to be so much fun that they'll never want to miss a Sunday!

WHAT WE BELIEVE

THE BIBLE AND SALVATION

The Bible is the inspired Word of God. The product of holy men of old who spoke and wrote as they were moved upon by the Holy Spirit and we accept it as our infallible guide in matters pertaining to conduct and doctrine. (2Tim. 3:16; 1 Thes. 2:13; 2 Peter 1:21) All have sinned and come short of the glory of God.  There is none righteous, no not one.  Jesus Christ, the Son of God, was manifested to undo the work of the devil and gave His life and shed His blood to redeem and restore man back to God. (Romans 5:14;3:10; 3:23; 1 John 3:8) The New Birth is necessary to all men and, when fulfilled, produces eternal life. (2 Cor. 7:10; 1 John 5:12; John 3:3-5)

OUR VISION

is to provide a Spirit Filled, Full Gospel, present truth-teaching, contemporary worshiping, caring, and friendly church in this region. To reach out to the unchurched and unsaved, with a desire to produce strong Christian families who will reproduce themselves and become effective, productive members of the community and the Body of Christ.

OUR MISSION

is to fulfill Luke 4:18 & 19 in this regional area. We are His hands extended, to preach the Gospel to the poor, to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, to recover the sight to the blind, to set at liberty those that are bruised, and to preach the acceptable year of the Lord!

Deb Greer
Secretary

Hello! I was asked to be Secretary at Cornerstone because I was always trying to keep track of important info on our church family to be sure no one felt left out or "fell through the cracks". So, in December 2000, I came on board. I love getting to know the new people who come through our doors and my prayer is that I will be able to be an encouragement to all those I come in contact with. In my spare time, I enjoy knitting and I also am a clerk at Maddux's Auction House in Greensburg!
